Intensive Outpatient Care for Mental Health & Digital Dependence

Therapeutic group support • One‑on‑one counseling • Family involvement • Digital‑health care

What Is an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)?

An IOP provides structured, intensive therapy—several hours a week—while you still live at home, work, or attend school

How It Works

IOPs bridge the gap between traditional outpatient therapy and inpatient care

  • 2–3 hour sessions, 3–5 days/week
  • 9–19 hours of programming weekly
  • Includes individual therapy, group sessions, family support, psychoeducation, and psychiatric oversight

Who it’s For

Ideal if you need more than weekly therapy—but don’t require 24/7 supervision.

  • Stepping down from inpatient or PHP care
  • Facing anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, eating disorders, or co-occurring issues
  • Want to maintain home, school, or work life while receiving deep support

Emotional Toolkit

Weekly group+individual therapy teaches coping strategies and emotional regulation using CBT, DBT, MI.

Real-Life Practice

You apply new skills daily—back at school, work, or home—reinforcing sustainable change

Includes family counseling, care coordination, psychoeducation, and sometimes 12‑step elements

Why Choose reSTART?

Our Mental‑Health‑First Philosophy

Mental Health Is Not Secondary—It’s Foundational

At reSTART, we believe mental health should be the starting point—not an afterthought. Many programs treat symptoms at the surface, but we go deeper. Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is built on the philosophy that digital dependence, behavioral struggles, and emotional distress often stem from underlying, unaddressed mental health challenges.

We lead with comprehensive mental health care, because healing starts when the whole person is seen.

Root-Cause Mental Health Care

We specialize in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, and emotional dysregulation—often hidden beneath behavioral issues, substance use, or screen reliance.

Destigmatizing Support

We create a safe space where seeking mental health support is seen as a strength. Our staff guide individuals and families to let go of shame and embrace healing.

Integrated Dual Diagnosis Support

Digital dependence rarely exists in isolation. We treat co-occurring conditions like depression or anxiety alongside behavioral challenges.

Individualized, Not One-Size-Fits-All

Like the top IOPs nationwide, reSTART builds personalized care plans tailored to each teen or adult’s history, needs, and pace of growth.

Mental Health First Means:

  • Prioritizing therapeutic connection before behavior change
  • Addressing trauma before teaching coping skills
  • Empowering individuals before imposing limits

When mental health is strong, everything else follows.

Core Tracks: Mental Health, Substance Use & Digital Dependence

Leading the Nation in Recognizing Digital Overuse as a Co-Occurring Condition

reSTART is the first program in the nation to consistently examine and assess for co-occurring digital dependence alongside primary mental health conditions, substance use, and trauma. We recognize that today’s challenges are often intertwined—so our care is designed to reflect the complexity of modern life.

Mental Health Core Track

Treatment is trauma-informed and grounded in evidence-based care and personalized to each person. You’ll build emotional awareness, practice new coping strategies, and gain clarity through:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

  • Motivational Interviewing

  • Experiential therapies (e.g., art, movement, mindfulness)

Digital Dependence

This track is designed for individuals whose screen use is affecting the core areas of well-being. Whether it’s endless scrolling, late-night gaming, or social withdrawal, we help clients regain control and rebuild balance through:

  • Evidence-based approaches to screen and gaming overuse
  • Impulse control strategies and habit retraining
  • Support for restoring healthy sleep, hygiene, routines, and nutrition
  • Rebuilding offline connection, communication, and relational skills
  • Psychoeducation on boundaries, self-regulation, and digital wellness

We often treat individuals with overlapping needs—so core tracks can be blended for a more personalized, cross-disciplinary plan.
