Frequently Asked Questions
Will I have access to my device?

At our Intensive Outpatient Care (IOP) program, we strongly encourage individuals to embrace a tech-free lifestyle during treatment. Reducing digital distractions allows for deeper self-reflection, improved focus on recovery, and stronger real-world connections. While our structured environment supports this approach, those who choose to live in their own housing will need to take personal responsibility for managing screen time and avoiding excessive technology use. Without the built-in accountability of a residential setting, it’s essential to establish boundaries and coping strategies to minimize distractions and stay committed to the healing process. Obviously, if you find that you cannot manage on your own, residential care is always an option.

How can I maintain a tech-free environment at home while in treatment?

Managing screen time can be challenging outside of a structured setting. We recommend setting clear boundaries, using website blockers, keeping devices out of bedrooms, and engaging in offline activities that support your recovery.

What kind of support will I have if I’m not living in a residential setting?

While you won’t have 24/7 supervision, you will have access to therapy sessions, support groups, and check-ins with our team. Developing a strong personal support network is also key to staying accountable.

How do I manage distractions and responsibilities at home while focusing on treatment?

Creating a structured daily routine, setting up a quiet space for therapy sessions, and minimizing unnecessary obligations can help you stay focused on your recovery.

Will I be required to follow any specific rules regarding technology use at home?

While we encourage a tech-free lifestyle, those living independently are responsible for their own choices. We provide guidance on healthy technology habits, but ultimately, you will need to practice self-discipline.

What should I do if I struggle to manage my recovery while living independently?

If you find that living on your own makes it difficult to stay committed to treatment, residential care is always an option. Our team is here to help assess your needs and determine the best level of care for you.
